Update on Life
After talking on the phone with Gary the other day, I decided I should probably write an update on things.
I am now into my 3rd week of working in Spokane. For the last two weeks, I have been putting together a database and programming it to the likes of those in charge and have also been helping with the organization of the collection. I no longer live in Moscow or work in Pullman. I am currently living in Hayden and driving to Spokane everyday.
For the last two weeks, I have been spending my free time during the week planning our upcoming Europe trip. Things are coming together pretty nice. The itinerary looks something like this:
Fly to Seattle from Spokane and Boise
Fly to Copenhagen
Fly to Paris
Ride a Train to Liege, Belgium
Wander the Ougree and Seraing areas of Liege (family history related)
Ride a train to Cologne, Germany
Fly to Venice, Italy
Wander Venice. Take a boat through the grand canal and ride a gondola.
Ride a train to Zurich, Switzerland
Wander the Fallenden and Maur areas of Zurich (Family history related)
Ride a train to Bern and Geneva, Switzerland
Wander Geneva
Fly to Barcelona, Spain
Wander Barcelona. We want to see the Sagrada Familia and a few other things here.
Fly to the Mystery City
Wander the mystery City
Fly to Paris
Spend the last three days of the trip wandering Paris. We are staying at a bed and breakfast right next to the Eiffle Tower and will also go and see the louvre and the Notre Dame Cathedral as well as whatever else we decide.
Fly to Copenhagen
Fly to Seattle
Fly to Spokane and Boise
I think it will be a good time. We are going to see a lot. I wish I could reveal the mystery city, but...well...it is a mystery. There will be a lot of neat things to see there as well.
Caren continues with her clinicals in Moscow and is starting to look for work elsewhere for when she is finished. We spend the weekends together and just celebrated 2 years of dating a week before last and then of course Valentine's day. Although, we didn't do much on Valentines. Friends of mine, Seth and his wife Julie and their kids, were up visiting her parents, so we went to lunch with them.
Not much else happening.
Oh, almost forgot. In light of the recent news from my two younger siblings, I would just like to announce that Caren and I are not getting married in the near future and don't have any plans to do so on the horizon either. Sorry...I just couldn't resist. :twisted:
