Happy Birthday to a Friend

Caren's favorite story to tell about Aunt Yvette is the night she first met her a few years back. We had dinner at a restaurant in Boise and Aunt Yvette came in, sat down, took one look at the menu and said, "Ah Hell! I'm going to have the giant fudge brownie for dinner!" and that was that.

I have so many stories to tell on Aunt Yvette that I don't know that there is enough time to write them all out and I'm not sure she wants me telling all of them. One of my favorite times though was when she was giving me a ride back to the airport in Boise after Grandpa Mitchell's funeral. She said, "By damn, I'm going to Scotland!" I said, "If you say lets go tomorrow, then I will be there." And that was that. Of course there were the adventures in Scotland and subsequent trip to Europe. There are so many stories that I just don't dare repeat on hear without asking her first.

All in all Aunt Yvette is an amazing lady. I admire her tenacity and her drive to learn about and see everything. I appreciate her kindness and willingness to help no matter the circumstances. She is always willing to help and has been the inspiration, driving force, and support behind many of our capers as of late.

I hope you have had a great day Aunt Yvette. Thank you for being a great Aunt and more importantly, friend.

Priest Lake

Caren and I went on a day trip up to Priest Lake near Nordman, Idaho yesterday. We also took a forest road across the border into Washington to Granite Falls. I've been around the world and have yet to find a place I like better than Northern Idaho. Here are a few pictures from the trip. Enjoy.
